Short version:
It seems to me that in current 2021 OpenPLI 8.0 with the "srefs" from the lamedb something has changed - EPGimport fails to import EPG for many channels at my setup with the current Enigma2.
(I use ONLY SATELLITE channels, I have no iptv).
When I remove the check from channelFilter() in plugin.py, then EPGimport works good.
Long version:
I had two setups that worked with EPGimport ("out of the box"):
- OCTAGON SF8008m with OpenPLI 7.3 (2020-11-30? I no longer have this install)
- DM800HD SE with OpenPLI 7.2 (2020-06-05)
The EPGimport worked "out of the box" on these two version relative OK:
What I do is, I simply install OpenPLI, I use the supplied satellites.xml, but I scan satellites myself. Then I import EPG, and EPG is there for most channels.
Now I updated the SF8008m to OpenPLI 8.0 (2021-03-08), and EPGimport fails for many channels!
I tried also OpenATV 6.4 (2021-03-10), HDF (2021-03-10) and OpenEight 6.8 (2021-03-09) - EPGimport is broken on ALL of them!
I compared the python files for EPGimport:
The content of the python files in the 2020 version OpenPLI 7.2 and now in the current 2021 OpenPLI 8.0 version are the same, so I think something outside of EPGimport has changed.
I removed the channelFilter() check in EPGimport, and return always "True", and now it works nice on the SF8008m. I have enough memory (I hope), so this is OK for me.
(BTW, please note, for some strange reason many Italian channels on 9.0E are two or three times found in the PMT.)
