amount of epg be limited to only the channels I am using...need help

I've tried your tutorial "Can the amount of epg be limited to only the channels I am using". But isn't working for me.

Xtrend ET4000 without HDD and PLi 3.0:

root/etc/epgimport

there is the file:

rytec.channels.xml

so I've downloaded the channel list from one of the links and saved it at root/usr at the box. Then I've renamed it to: anything.channels.xml.

After that, I've deleted all not needed channels (only the "<channel id="M6.fr">1:0:19:245E:440:1:C00000:0:0:0:</channel> " lines).

Then I wasn't shure what you mean.

Tutorial: "Next create a something.sources.xml file in which you reference the newly created anything.channels.xml file and the XMLTV files. An example is given below."

That means, I need a second file, named something.sources.xml. Ok, but to which folder? I thought to root/etc/epgimport but there is the rytec.channels.xml file. I need both? Or only the somethings.sources.xml in this folder?

reason: The ET4000 has a slow hardware and box is switched off with power supply. So it needs 15 minutes to extract the downloaded EPG data with default configuration....and box is very slow at this time.
