Willy,
Would you mind contacting the admin's of all XMLTV EPG mirrors, and ask how much data they (roughtly) process in a month?
Over June 2017, my server has send out 18.8TB of EPG data, and that is with over a third of the requests denied (requests from Kodi and other non-enigma platforms).
This seems to become serious business, and I think if we want to be able to sustain this growth, we need to think about a more efficient data distribution system, instead of sending large files with repeated and largely unneeded information on every request. If we do that, we probably also have to discuss this with developers from CrossEPG, and maybe other enigma tools out there.
Or do you also want to cater for non-Enigma platforms like Kodi (in which case we have to discuss any new format with them as well).
Let me know your thoughts on this.
Not sure about the grabber source of TVP Sport HD / TVP Sport but Teleman shows correct one instead of epg we have downloaded.
Today we have epg from yesterday, sunday is missing and so on - completely wrong.

1:0:1:3D58:2C88:13E:820000:0:0:0:

1:0:1:3E26:2EE0:13E:820000:0:0:0:

Now is 18:35, 14th June. Inside epg database we have this:
<programme start="20140616175000 +0200" stop="20140616201000 +0200" channel="TVPSport.pl">
Kolumbia - Grecja, Mistrzostwa Świata - Brazylia 2014 - mecz grupy C, Piłka nożna
<sub-title lang="pl">[piłka nożna]</sub-title> </programme>
Looks like two days ahead.
Other changes:
----------------------------
replace this:

1:0:1:3E26:2EE0:13E:820000:0:0:0:

with:

1:0:1:DB1:2D50:13E:820000:0:0:0:

Hello Rytec Team.
Is something wrong with the danish epg?.
I haven´t been able to get EPG for the danish channels for some days/week now.
EPG downloads with out any errors, but there is no EPG data on the channels.
I see another person,in another forum, having the same problems.
http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/epg-dat-seems-to-be-emty-rytec-denmark.33559/
Best regards
Erojohn.
I try to load EPG from an external source.
When I start the import with CrossEPG (I believe) I get 0 data imported and this is in my Log file.
Can somebody tell me what the problem might be?
I am new to enigma2
Hi Rytec Team,
is it possible to have a source for US channels in EPGimport plugin for Enigma2 boxes? I do have some IPTV channels from USA and would like to have EPG for this.
Thx

In the new setup of the sources for EPGimport there many more smaller xmltv files. Giving the user more choice what to import, without having to select large files for only a few channels.
f.i users in France which want the schedule of the Swiss channels, can simply select the Suisse Basic file. This will then load the small Suisse Basic file.
Also there is a fairly small German Basic file which contains the German National channels which are mostly FTA on 19.2E
Basically the country files will be split up into at least 3 categories:
1. Basic - meaning the national channels. In the UK case this is Freeview. In Italy the DTT channels - minus the premium channels
Other countries are my own interpretation what are national channels. Of course I am open to improvements on this
2. Sport and Movies. These are the Movie Channels and Sport Channels for which an extra subscription is needed.
Eurosport remains in one of the other categories.
3. Other channels.
For some countries more categories have been divised. Like shared channels between Belgium and France, and shared channels between Belgium and The Netherlands.
I am open to suggestions, if channels have been placed into the wrong section.
In the selection screen you will notice the strange combination of France/ Belgium and the Netherlands. This is due to that strange country "Belgium".
Flanders and The Netherlands share a number of channels. Wallonie and Flanders share a number of channels, and Wallonie and France share channels. In order to avoid that people start selecting the same source twice, I had to group them together, and list each source only once.
Sources which not have been converted are still listed under the heading: XMLTV Old style
You will also notice that at the bottom of the list there is an xz section. In OPenPLi 6.1 RC xz files will be supported. At the moment in 6.0 with some extra software they also work. These file are only half the size of the present files. In OpenPLi4 you can select them, but nothing will happen.
There is no need to update your importer source in a rush. The old style XMLTV files (also for the now converted files) will keep on working for the foreseeable future.

Hi
Could anyone let me know if its possible to run epgimport from a command line ?
Would like to set a cron job to run epgimport twice daily after importing iptv channel updates.
Appreciate any help.
Regards, Andy
When XMLTVimport cannot find the channels file (rytec.channels.xml.gz and others) it gets into an infinity loop, so it seems.
The import is stuck, and you cannot get out of it. The only way is to restart enigma2.
An none existing XMLTV file (data file) is fine. The importer just reports in the log it cannot find the file. No problem with this.
The receiver is not stuck, it is still responsive.
Can somebody with knowledge of python take a look at this, and propose a solution?

Hello, I wanted to point out 2 problems.
The first being that Rytec Virgin UK EPG info is duplicated as shown below, on several channels like Sky1 HD and Syfy HD, Fox HD, etc.
In most cases it therefore takes more space than necessary and ends up looking a little convoluted and messy. Would be amazing if this was "cleaned up".
The second issue is, the Sky Events channel n Rytec Virgin UK EPG (it's the equivalent of Sky Sports Box Office on satellite) has EPG info from another channel, appears to be in Welsh or something.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you guys for all your contributions in this interesting forum.
I have subscribed for IPTV channels and I've received my userbouquet_xxxx.tv to play on enigma 2 based box.
The content of those channels are mainly France (canalsat), Belgium, Switzerland, Arabic (nilsat, OSN), spain, Bein sport and some erotics.
I've VU+ Zero with OpenPli 6.0 image. There is no satellite, exclusive use of IPTV channels only.
I have a Mac OS (not windows).
I'm wondering how can I proceed to put EPG and Picon for those IPTV channels. Is there any step-by-step procedure to follow up?
I really appreciate any help to resolve this issue?
Regards
What is the status of these CDS channels?
- ONS
- History
- iConcerts
Are these supposed to have EPG? I am seeing none.
Hi,
There is no EPG for Arte on 5w, 13e or 19.2e
Which source should I choose for French ARTE.
Thank
Hi Willy,
On Telstar 12 (15W) there are two channels of ESPN:
ESPNU 1:0:1:385:1:1:D7A31C3:0:0:0: ESPN 2 US 1:0:1:386:1:1:D7A31C3:0:0:0:
I believe you can find TV listings on http://guide.espn.com/?id=692
I selected Cayman Islands as country and then the schedule is in EST (Eastern Standard time), so that's UTC-5.
Right now CET is UTC+2 (because of daylight saving time), f.e. 19:45 CET is 12:45 EST.
The Cayman Islands don't use DST, so when not in use here, the offset to CET is one hour less.
Default the listing is horizontal, when you click the channel, there is a vertical listing.
When you click the programm, you get more in-dept information.
I hope this is grab-able.
Hi everyone.
I coded a grabber for digiturk a Turkish SAT TV Platform (http://www.digiturk.com.tr/yayinakisi/).
grabber :
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10710935/tv_grab_tr_digiturk
a generated output:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10710935/digiturk.xmltv
maybe it can be added to Rytec XMLTV
