EPG National Geographic

Willy, volgens mij klopt de epg voor National Geographic (HD) niet meer.

Op dit moment zou "Car SOS" moeten uitzenden maar dat is dus niet zo.

Car SOS doet niets met drugs... :)

Reading EPG data from OpenTV (28.2E and 13 E)

$

LraiZer has written (and partially borrowed) a little utitlty which can read the OpenTV EPG from 28.2E (and 13 E) and save this data in "radiotimes style" data files.

Very interesting, but it could be more usefull if this can be made into a plug-in for enigma2 to import the EPG, by combining this with the XMLTV plug-in.

- Either as a stand-alone which produces XMLTV files, which XMLTV import can import.

- Or really combine this plug-in with XMLTVimport, and put the results directly into enigma2.

- Or make stand-alone plugin which reads this data from the sat, and directly put the data into enigma.

The work of LraiZer can be found here:

https://github.com/LraiZer/RadiotimesXmltvEmulator

I am not a programmer, so I cannot coöperate in this manner. But can somebody combine his efforts with Lraizer to achieve this?

Willy

PS: If somebody remarks: but crossepg does all this already. Yes it does, but crossepg is not developped anymore, besides it is pain in the .... to use.

EPG for IPTV channels

$
0
0

Edit 24-04-2018: While all the following is still correct, the application of this has become a lot easier with the use of e-channelizer: Version 18.0.0.414 (BETA).

This program allows the import of a m3u file. It will generate service refs and if wanted the needed links for use with EPGimport.

Pls. direct questions about this to the author of e-channelizer.

EPG for IPTV channels can be downloaded by two different methods:

1st Method: EPG for IP-TV channels (with thanks to athoik)

IPTV channels can also have epg imported. However you have to make your own import settings as the service references can be anything you fancy. You will need an OpenPli image from after 20/12/2013

A working example:

In the bouquet file you have this as channel reference (here the Nostalgie radiostation in Belgium)

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:1000:1000:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//stream10.fluoline.net%3a80/:Nostalgie
#DESCRIPTION Nostalgie

You have to make a channels.xml file containing:

<channels>

1:0:1:1000:1000:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com

</channels>

The part http%3a//example.com is really needed, but can be the same for all channels.

Also the 4097 has to be replaced by a 1 : Not needed anymore

I called this file test.channels.xml and placed it in etc/epgimport

Now you have to reference this channels file in the sources.xml file. Place in etc/epgimport a file something.sources.xml which contains:

<sources>

test XMLTV

</sources>

You could edit the rytec.sources.xml by adding the above, but I do not recommend it as the file will be overwritten when you update your box. The advise is thus to make a separate something.sources.xml file. The XMLTV importer will read both this file and the rytec.sources.xml file.

PS: with something I mean really any name you can dream up.

2nd method: Using the service refs of the satellite channels.

This method only works with channels included in the lamedb. It is imparative that you have a current up-to-date lamedb in the /etc/enigma2/ folder on your receiver.

To use this, you channels in the bouquet file should be have the following syntax in the bouquet file:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:d4f:2:46:e080000:0:0:0:"URL HERE".ts:TV3 HD (SE)
#DESCRIPTION TV3 HD ( SE )

These are generated by a lot of the providers of the IPTV channels (legal or otherwise)

As said this only works if you have an up-to-date lamedb file.

In order to get an up-to-date lamedb you rescan the satellite in question. You do not have to do anything else with the results

However if you do not have access to the satellite, this is a bit more problematic.
You have to obtain a correct lamedb from some source (a good settinglist will mostly do)

Edit: another method to obtain a lamedb for sats which you do not have acces to is described some post below.

The lamedb has to be copied to your receiver when enigma is stopped. To do this, got to a telnet window (DCC will do)

init 4 (to stop enigma)

Copy the lamedb file from the settinglist to the /etc/enigma2/ folder of your receiver.

init 3 (to restart enigma)

If you do not have sat channels, you are done.

However if you have sat channels, all your sat channels will be gone now. In order to fix this, rescan all the sats you have access to.

EPG can now be imported by using the provided Rytec packages (or alternative packages for sat)

Willy

Hi there,

there has been a small change in the (Dutch) Delta cable tv channels.
'France 24' has been replaced with 'France 24HD'

old:
France 24 - 1:0:1:195:4:10EF:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

new:
France 24HD - 1:0:19:C20:1F:10EF:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

and these channels have no epg data:
Go-TV - 1:0:1:A3B:1A:10EF:FFFF0000:0:0:0:
Adult Channel - 1:0:1:192:4:10EF:FFFF0000:0:0:0:

Is it possible to add it?

Thanks in advance!

Only import EPG for channels in Bouquets - change requested

$

In the EPGimport plug-in there is an option: " only import EPG for channels in bouquets"

This option is causing problems.

f.i the channel NPO1 has a service ref when you scan 23.5E: 1:0:19:5225:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

However when performing a fast of Canaal Digitaal, the service ref is: 1:0:1:5225:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

In the rytec channels file this channels is denoted as:

1:0:19:5225:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

So when you apply the setting " only import EPG for channels in bouquets" this channels will have no EPG.

This is one example. But there are countless channels which suffer from this. The providers do not always denoted their channels with the correct tranmission code. (1= MPEG2, 16=SD,MPEG4, 19=HD,MPEG4)

Also the proplem exist with IPTV channels (legal ones) which need the 5002 code.

f.i.

#SERVICE 5002:0:1:1:0:32:0:0:0:0:http%3a//api.new.livestream.com/accounts/27755193/events/8452383/live.secure.m3u8:TV Limburg

I would appreciate it, if some-one with knowlegde of python could modify this option " only import EPG for channels in bouquets" to only compare part of the service ref.

This part: 5225:C99:3:EB0000 (SID:TID:NID:Namespace)

So skipping the first 3 values and the last 4 values.

Be warned that in the rytec.channels file, and bouquet list entries can exist like these:

#SERVICE 5002:0:1:1:0:32:0:0:0:0:http%3a//api.new.livestream.com/accounts/27755193/events/8452383/live.secure.m3u8:TV Limburg

4097:0:1:1:0:32:0:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com

Thanks in advance

Willy

Is it possible to add a New Zealand EPG provider from this source “http://epg.org.nz/freeview.xml.gz” ?

Currently my Ultimo DVB-T tuners receive only EIT info (now/next) while my DVB-S tuner receives full 7-day epg.

Thanks in advance,

[ziggo] missing epg details from BBC First

$

I'm using OpenPli 7.1 with EPG-Import and the Rytec "Nederland - Basis(xy)" and the "Nederland - Sport/Movies (xy)".

I'm missing Series number on BBC First series... with 27 series and about 8-16 episodes per serie it gets a bit difficult to see what episode to record and wich one to ignore...

When looking at the fetched EPG data, I see the following on the detail-page of a midsomer-murders episode:

midsomer_murders-epg.jpg

It shows that the episode is split in 2 and that this is part 1, and the title of the episode, but it lacks the season-number.

On the TVGids page I see the following info:

midsomer_murders-tvgids.png

Here the season does show!

As far as I can see the info about the season is not included in the XML file:

midsomer_murders-xml.png

It would be great if the Series number could be added to the subtitle too!

Thanks in advance,

Max

EPGImport Filter v1.00 by Acds

$

This plugin allows filtering of epgimport data by creating custom channel list files from user bouquets.

Run the plugin, choose the bouquets and press install. After several seconds the plugin will create custom channel list file and custom sources file in the epgimport folder (/etc/epgimport).

After the process is finished open EPGImport plugin and check 'Filtered' sources.

(For example Filtered Rytec France XMLTV instead Rytes France XMLTV).

Import the data again.

Notice that only data for your selected bouquet channels are loaded.

This saves quite a bit of memory space and speeds up the epg refresh.

Italian EPG - Sky

$

0

The last couple of weeks I am struggling with the EPG for the Italian Sky channels.

The RAI, Tivu and Mediaset channels are OK. But the Sky channels (except the movie channels) pose a problem.

The published EPG for the Sky channels seemed to come all from the same source. They all have the same descriptions, and other peculiatities in common.

It looks like this source (probably Sky itself) is going off-line, comes back a few minutes later. This happens all through the day.

The same can be observed when using the OpenTV reader on the sat itself. Sometimes no EPG is present, while 15 minutes later there is a full set of EPG present.

It is really annoying. I have to check the grab each morning, and when too much channels are not collected, I simply restart the grab and most of the times it is OK then. However sometimes, I have to restart it again 15 minutes later.

The same happens when collecting EPG with the OpenTV reader.

f.i. this morning the update for Italian Sky was updated at 10h15 (GMT+2).

Please take this into account when updating the Italian channels.
