import rytec xmltv sources or epg.dat sources

Hello mates. I've read the faq's of xmltv import, but I still have a question. When we select the sources as rytec.xmltv.france, rytec.germany.xmltv, and the end of the list we find rytec.dat files. We have to select only xmltv files? .dat files? both?? I have some problems to keep my epg fresh and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong. I have epg fresh plugin and epg import plugin, and I have the epg.dat in an external hdd that I select by /media/usb. But now I have done an epg import and the epg.dat in my hdd is only 89kb. Would I have to make a box reboot? My box is a vu+ zero. Thanks in advance.

The box freezes and stuck at somewhere when trying to import from this source. Other sources that I use (France, Poland, Spain) work well, which makes me think that this particular source has a problem. FYI. Cheers..

[Enigma2][hungary] half of EPG is missing

Hi,

I am trying to use CrossEPG with Hungarian channels (UPC).

-CrossEPG installed with blue panel

- update rytec list...

-I choosed Rytec Hungary from the list

-Yellow button: download

When it is finished I pressed Force epg reload.

Done.

The result? Nothing. EPG on the half of channels are missing:

What I tried already:

-reboot

-download again + force reload epg

My box is VU+ Uno with a 500GB HDD and my current image is VTI 9.0.2 which provides an EPG Plugin called "EPGImport"

Except for BBC4 HD and Channel4 HD this plugin fails to find any EPG list for the Freesat channels in UK on Astra 28.2

If possible I would like to install the XMLTV Import plugin in the VTI Image

Where would I find the installation / config files?

I have visited the Rytec website and I notice they provide instructions and downloads for Enigma2 boxes

Does OpenPli have a downloadable version of the XMLTV plugin in a repository somewhere?

Can anyone offer any advice about this?

Using xmltv-importer. The import seems to work fine. I wouldt like to know where the epg.dat is stored. Cant find it anywhere one the USB HDD or on root. Shouldt there be one?

Second question. Wenn using xmltv-importer shouldt in the epg-settings i.e. EIT Epg be enabled? Or can you disable that?

some changes were made to canal + spain, now known as movistar +.

some channels were added in HD format. their SD counter part, still get epg but not the HD..

the channels missing epg data are:

im running open pli 4.0 on dm500hd , and have downloaded xmltvimport from the extensions but it hasnt appeared in the plugin browser , its there if i select "remove plugins" . but when i downloaded it when running open pli 2.1 ( years ago ) , i had to set what time i wanted updates to download and choose which providers i wanted epg on . do i not have to do any of this anymore ? is it all done automatically when you download the extension? thanks

The EPG for Norway for the channel Eurosport HD is in Norwegian but the language for the channel Eurosport 2 HD is in Finnish, any reason for this? Can this be changed?

All,

Al jaren maak ik gebruik van xmltvimport van Rytec, maar ik merk de laatste tijd dat de tijdstippen daarvan flink afwijken van de werkelijke tijden waarop programma's beginnen.

Ik heb hem nu een tijdje stil gezet en maak gebruik van wat de box zelf ophaalt via de zender en die tijden zijn een stuk beter.

Ik gebruikte altijd alleen Benelux en UK en had de optie aan staan om alleen de EPG op te halen van zenders in mijn bouquetten.

Wat is jullie ervaring hier mee?

Extracting EPG Id's

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the 4 digit EPG id for channels from Cross epg plugin via open TV using my duo? I need the epg id's to update the configs for Weekepg plugin used on enigma 1 receivers.

An Example of Open TV format.

I have attached a copy of the config used in weekepg to update epg.

If anyone can direct me or know of any other way I can get that data I would be very greatful.

Hi, I have a sunraybox minisolo with openpli 4.0 , i use it only for iptv i have not satelite or antenna dvb, nothing tuner, only lan connection beetween decoder and router, i adjusted clock and now i see the correct data and clock automatically , I installed epgimport http://www.clouditaly.tk/xmltv-import/

i put my usb ( i dont see the option for selected my usb device for download epg ) however i push yellow button for manual download and appear this message.... nonetype' object has no attribute 'endswith'... please help me !!!! sorry for bad english

The import was successful but there is no Rytec Hungary EPG for UPC. Rytec Germany works good.
