I am watching TV on Canal Digital in Denmark. Most of the EPG is working well when I add all Danish selections and Rytec General XMTV / News Channels. But I am missing EPG on BBC Earth HD and BBC BRIT HD on these channels:

Recently I am receiving a lot of request for solving problems for EPG for IPTV via PM.
This is not the way. Pls. refrain from doing that.
EPG for IPTV is certainly possible, but it remains a pain in the behind, which involves a lot of work. And mostly each user will need a special adapted set-up for his situation.
A general solution is not possible.
Again, there are 2 methods:
1. Re-using the the service refs from the satellite channels.
2. Making dedicated channels.xml files and dedicated sources.xml file for the EPGimport.
Lately, I am seeing requests which hussle these 2 methods. Trying to use the first method with a dedicated sources file.
It is clear that these users do not understand the methodology involved.
Try first to understand what is involved, chose one method that suits you, and stick to it. And above anything else stop asking me for help.

Just wanted to ask if it's somehow possible to add EPG for channels from Iceland and Israel. I'm not sure but I think Iceland channels are not on any Satellite but here is a list of channels: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_in_Iceland

Pluto TV generate an EPG each 6 or 7 hours, but this one contains only the EPG for the next 10 hours, so we have to refresh it 2 or 3 times a day.
So I'd like to execute EPG Importer with a command line, but only for this pluto tv source that is outside of rytec sources. I want to respect rytec rules, so execution once a day for Rytec sources.
I can't find the command line to execute.
Is anybody can help please?

In addition to your database I also use some others and in a Russian one I discovered something really interesting and I was wondering if you could establish something similar.
This particular EPG source can be found here http://iptvx.one/epg/epg.xml.gz and when opening it, it offers (among many other specific channels) right on top the following options:

That means, one can assign very simple EPG data to channels (sat, cable or IPTV) that have otherwise no EPG source at all available (e.g. KCTV North Korea).
For example, if you assign "no_epg_cinema" to a channel, then in the bouquet list "Кино нонстоп" will be displayed, which means "Cinema nonstop", and this in 2 hours long segments:

I do use that option for a few IPTV channels just to avoid blank channels in the bouquet list, but it would be more useful, if it was not in Cyrillic letters, but in Latin ones. And therefore my questions is, whether you could include something similar in your database, for example:
<channel id="no_epg"> => and showing just "Current programme"
<channel id="no_epg_cinema"> => and showing just "Movie"
<channel id="no_epg_mult"> => and showing just "Current programme"
<channel id="no_epg_music"> => and showing just "Music"
<channel id="no_epg_news"> => and showing just "News"
<channel id="no_epg_sport"> => and showing just "Sports programme"
<channel id="no_epg_xxx"> => and showing just "Current programme" (or "Do they get married later on?" 
)
Would something like this possible? Or do you know other ways for me to achieve a similar result and fill EPG gaps?

Is there a way to perform searches in EPG with a certain general criteria : for exampe "film" "news" "sport" etc...
Actually , if "film" is entered in the seacrh bar the result shows only event with the word "film" in the description.
It seems that there is no general tag attached to each event.

Suddenly, the rytec.sources.xml disappeared from /etc/epgimport folder (I guess Jedimaker plugin has something to do with that).

Last time I updated sources, I got a new set of sources but they run out just after midnight 12th March CET.
Short version:
It seems to me that in current 2021 OpenPLI 8.0 with the "srefs" from the lamedb something has changed - EPGimport fails to import EPG for many channels at my setup with the current Enigma2.
(I use ONLY SATELLITE channels, I have no iptv).
When I remove the check from channelFilter() in plugin.py, then EPGimport works good.
Long version:
I had two setups that worked with EPGimport ("out of the box"):
- OCTAGON SF8008m with OpenPLI 7.3 (2020-11-30? I no longer have this install)
- DM800HD SE with OpenPLI 7.2 (2020-06-05)
The EPGimport worked "out of the box" on these two version relative OK:
What I do is, I simply install OpenPLI, I use the supplied satellites.xml, but I scan satellites myself. Then I import EPG, and EPG is there for most channels.
Now I updated the SF8008m to OpenPLI 8.0 (2021-03-08), and EPGimport fails for many channels!
I tried also OpenATV 6.4 (2021-03-10), HDF (2021-03-10) and OpenEight 6.8 (2021-03-09) - EPGimport is broken on ALL of them!
I compared the python files for EPGimport:
The content of the python files in the 2020 version OpenPLI 7.2 and now in the current 2021 OpenPLI 8.0 version are the same, so I think something outside of EPGimport has changed.
I removed the channelFilter() check in EPGimport, and return always "True", and now it works nice on the SF8008m. I have enough memory (I hope), so this is OK for me.
(BTW, please note, for some strange reason many Italian channels on 9.0E are two or three times found in the PMT.)
